A Successful First

Amber and I were a little worried about Kaitlyn’s sleepover last night.  Maybe we were more nervous than worried.  She had planned the sleepover with her best friend Lindsay in secret this past Sunday, and she was excited about it.  But Amber and I were nervous.

We really didn’t know how Kaitlyn would do with having Lindsay at our house all night.  The answer came quick and she did great.

When I walked in the door, I was greeted by a duet from them.  They were belting out a Florida Georgia Line tune.  It was an interesting rendition for sure.

The whole night was a huge success.  They watched movies in Kaitlyn’s room, drew pictures, and played games.  There was even the standard (or so I was told) giggling coming from Kaitlyn’s room after they were given the “lights out” command.  Amber and I checked on them a few times before we went to bed, and they were having a great time.

We could not have asked for a better first sleepover for Kaitlyn.  Now that we have cleared that hurdle, the next one will be her first sleepover at someone else’s house.
