I’ve said (written?) it before, but it bears repeating. We never really know what is going to come out of Kaitlyn’s mouth, but we can be sure that it will be something that amazes us every time.
Our friend Courtney has been hanging out with Kaitlyn this week, and the two have been having a good time. Some of what they are doing, I think, is planning some sort of surprise for mine and Amber’s anniversary. (Kaitlyn keeps referring to a “surprise” she has for us, but has not given us any other info.)
This morning, Courtney shared with us a conversation the two of them had yesterday. Kaitlyn asked her how long we had been married. She responded, and noted that she had to correct herself on the date because she knew Kaitlyn would catch on, that we had been married for 9 years. Immediately, the wheels must have been spinning in Kaitlyn’s head. She was doing the math.
She quickly figured out that we had married for about 2 years when she was born, and that is when she shared her wisdom (and I am probably not going to accurately quote her here, but you will get a good idea of what she said). She shared that Amber and I must be “so much happier now” since we have her and we didn’t when we got married.
I guess it is hard to argue with that logic!
