I am folically-challenged. There, it is out there. I have little to no hair on my head, and I am proud of it. I have heard my fair share of jokes at my expense because of it.
But this morning was totally different. Not only did Kaitlyn make a joke at my expense, the belly-laugh that followed was unreal (and no, I am not upset at her. I thought it was pretty funny from presentation to completion).
I was sitting on the couch, waiting to leave for work. Kaitlyn had just gotten dressed and came out to stand next to me. I thought she was going to be sweet and give me a hug and tell me to have a good day at work. I was mistaken. She looked at me with the straightest face, pointed, and said, “Nice hair!” She then proceeded to burst out with a prolonged laugh and walk away.
She thinks that she is the funniest person in the world, I guess. I am glad that my hair, or lack thereof, can provide her with so much entertainment and fodder for jokes. It was all in good fun, and I am happy that she was having a good morning, especially since she could not get into the pool yesterday because of the weather (today is not looking much more promising for swimming).
If all else fails, maybe she has a future in comedy, but I wouldn’t bet my hair care products on it.
