It seems like forever since Kaitlyn has gone to school. Ah, the fun that is Spring Break. Today was day number ten since the last time Kaitlyn was required to go to school. For some reason, her Spring Break seems to have lasted forever; when I was in school, they flew by.
Overall, Kaitlyn had a pretty successful Spring Break. She got to spend a lot of time with Grandma from Iowa, and that was good for both of them. They baked, shopped, and went to the Junior Museum.
We tried to keep Kaitlyn on somewhat of a consistent routine during Spring Break. She would wake up before we left for work in the morning, but did get to stay up way later than usual. The trick is going to be getting back into her standard routine. I anticipate some resistance, but I do not think it will be that difficult; the hardest part will be getting her to go to sleep each night since it has been staying light so much longer.
Hopefully she will get right back in the swing of things when she gets back to school tomorrow. I am sure the playground and classroom will be filled with chatty kids, each wanting to share what they did over the week off.
Kaitlyn will be getting another report card really soon, and the end of the school year is right around the corner. Time sure is flying by.
