Always Caring

Somehow, some way, Kaitlyn finds a new way to amaze me all the time.  It is usually nothing huge or momentous, but the little things.  Little things like the level of concern in her voice in the car this morning.

We had just pulled off the interstate when she became very concerned about Amber.  She was concerned that her mom had not eaten breakfast.  She went on to explain that she was concerned because of how important breakfast is, and that without eating a good breakfast, Amber would not have the energy to make it through the day.

It took me a little while to convince her that Amber would have plenty of energy to make it through the day to pick her up from school, and that she would probably eat something once she got to work.  That seemed to work, but I just sat there amazed at how important this issue was to her today.

Maybe I am reading too much into her question and making more of it than what it was, but I have learned that she generally does not bring something up unless she is genuinely concerned about something.

  1. Since I rarely, if ever, eat breakfast, she should be concerned everyday…just saying 🙂
