Puzzling

We have only “officially” been the parents of an amazing little girl with Asperger’s for a short time, but I can understand why autism awareness is signified by a puzzle.

Our 4 year old is the epitome of puzzling. She has her sweet days, which are numerous, but she also has “bad” days.  One of those was last night.  Out of nowhere, she decided that she was not going to listen to a word she was told.  She had her mind made up that the evening was going to go according to her plan, whatever that was.  It was sometime during the evening that I finally understood the puzzle…my wife and I remain puzzled how she can be so headstrong.

We learn so much every day from our angel, and every day presents a new challenge that needs a new approach.  We are amazed and blown away every day with how sweet she is, and how smart she is; she will be smarter than both of us before too long!

  2. I’d love to hear the thought behind your blog’s name.

    1. I kept it simple. I’m the proud dad of an aspie (person with Asperger’s) living in Tallahassee. 🙂
